Participants included representatives of Österreichische Gesellschaft Großtrappenschutz (ÖGG), Netz Niederösterreich GmbH, MVM DEMÁSZ Áramhálózati Kft., Magyar Madártani és Természetvédelmi Egyesület (MME / BirdLife Hungary), Kiskunság National Park Directorate, Milvus Group Bird and Nature Protection Association, Acción por el Mundo Salvaje (AMUS), International Council for Game and Wildlife Conservation (CIC), and the City of Bratislava.

The first day focused on technical progress, with partners sharing updates on project implementation and planning next steps. A field visit to the Special Protection Area (SPA) Parndorfer Platte–Heideboden followed, where participants observed implemented underground cabling measures designed to reduce bird collision risks with power lines and improve habitat safety for the Great Bustard.

The second day was dedicated to financial and administrative coordination, ensuring alignment on reporting procedures and future project management activities.

The meeting reinforced the importance of strong international cooperation in conserving the Great Bustard, a species whose survival depends on coordinated action across borders. The LIFE EUROBUSTARD consortium continues to work jointly toward long-term habitat protection and improved connectivity across key breeding and feeding areas.
